SnapDominos app privacy policy
This policy covers the SnapDominos app for iPhone and Android (the "app"). For the snapcountscore.com website, see the website privacy policy.
Your photos stay on your phone
When you take or choose a photo of dominoes, the app counts the pips on your phone. Photos are never uploaded to us or anyone else. A copy of each scanned photo is kept in the app's scan history on your phone so you can look back at it. You can delete scans one at a time or clear your whole history in the app, and uninstalling the app removes them all.
Scores and players
Player names, game scores and your settings are stored only on your phone. The app has no accounts or sign-ups, and we don't have a server that receives this information.
Ads in the free version
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google's ad software in the app may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location based on your IP address, and how you interact with ads. Google handles this information under Google's privacy policy; see also how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
On iPhone, the app asks for permission before it can use your device's advertising identifier for personalized ads. If you say no, you'll still see ads, but they won't be personalized using that identifier. You can change this any time in your iPhone's Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.
If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalized ads are used. In US states with privacy laws, you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your data. Where these choices apply, you can change them any time under Settings › Privacy choices in the app.
Upgrading to Pro removes ads, and the app stops loading them.
Purchases
The Pro upgrade is sold through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google processes the payment; we never see your payment details. The app only learns whether you've bought Pro, so it can unlock it on your devices.
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal information. The app has no analytics or tracking of its own, and we don't collect your name, email, contacts or precise location.
Children
The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
